@ EMBL-EBI

Jonne’s academic path began with a B.S. in Biology from VU University Amsterdam, with a focus on cell and molecular biology. Her postgraduate research spanned behavioural neurogenetics at the Donders Institute and molecular neuroscience at the Karolinska Institute, using phenotypic, transcriptional, and behavioural analyses to study neurodevelopmental processes. She went on to complete a PhD in Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics at Uppsala University under supervision of Ola Spjuth and Jordi Carreras-Puigvert, developing lab automation and cell profiling methods for high-content imaging to explore effects of chemical exposures to cells. She recently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Carpenter-Singh lab at the Broad Institute, integrating Cell Painting and multi-omics data to improve hepatotoxicity prediction as part of the OASIS Consortium, supported by the Swedish Research Council. Jonne is joining the Ewald Group at EMBL-EBI as a Postdoctoral Fellow, co-supervised by the Carpenter-Shen lab, with a main focus on multi-omics integration, toxicity prediction, and environmental toxicology.
